Michael Nitsche:

I Hope This Will Help Sometime The fantastic, surreal sculptures of German artist Michael Nitsche (born 1961 in Lüneburg) seem as taken out of a dream. “I hope this will help sometime” is the title of the fair concept that Nitsche developed for Galerie Michaela Stock’s participation in PREVIEW BERLIN. A horse ride to hell – a restless entrainment, that carries us away into the Inferno of the Apocalypse. The inorganic anatomy of the figures, made of destroyed teddy bears and other found materials, has an irritating touch that emerges out of these homunculi, made out of consumption and toyish limbs by an artificial Doctor Frankenstein.
